When was your first run with YRC? How did you hear about it?
My first experience was Run Crew 123 in early February 2024. I share a dear mutual friend with Rachel Yonan. Knowing my interest in running, she encouraged me to check out YRC on a few occasions. I do not know what took me so long, but after that first run crew, I was hooked!
What does being a "local, lovable misfit runner" mean to you?
It means contributing to a safe, inclusive community where you can come as you are, and encouraging fellow runners to do the same. Regardless of your experience or skill level, everyone is able to show up to a space where authenticity and fun comes first. Being a local lovable misfit runner means contributing to a support system that continuously pays it forward.
What’s your favorite non-YRC running event/route?
I find myself putting a lot of miles in and around North Park, and I always enjoy The Pittsburgh Great Race.
What are your non-running hobbies?
I love traveling and exploring new places. My husband and I are always planning the next trip, usually with a focus on national parks and hiking. But when I am home-bound, I also enjoy gardening and baking.
